Paris had a tremendous debut season in the EuroLeague, but couldn’t get past Fenerbahçe in the Playoffs.

Tiago Splitter’s side fell short in the battle for the Final Four to a team that is going to its seventh. Therefore, the Brazilian coach has a lot of things to be satisfied with, despite losing to Fenerbahçe.

I’m proud of them, of what we have accomplished in our first EuroLeague season. We’ve played about 70 games so far, the mental and physical effort throughout all these months, staying healthy, competing… We competed in every game, maybe in one or two we didn’t have a chance to win. That’s hard to do, even the big teams sometimes don’t do it. That’s why I’m super proud,” Tiago Splitter said at the postgame press conference.

TJ Shorts had a great season, gave his all in what ended up being their final game in the EuroLeague, scoring 29 points against the Istanbul team.

TJ’s been doing this all season. That’s why he is the best point guard in the EuroLeague.”

After a great season, Paris will have a tough task ahead to keep its core players.

I don’t like to think about the future, but we don’t know who’s gonna be here next season. The job is not finished, we still have to finish LNB, and we want to be the last team standing.

Splitter also gave credit to Fenerbahçe.

They have a great team. We tried everything we could. From blitzing, different coverages, matchups. They have a very complete squad, with shooters, ball handlers, big guys, rim protectors, guys that can switch, catch-and-shoot guys, guys with experience… This is the squad for the Final Four,” the head coach of Paris concluded.
