Before playing in his second EuroLeague Final Four with AS Monaco, Mike James was the latest guest of the Triple Threat Show, featuring Chima Moneke as one of the hosts.

Asked if he would trade his individual awards for a EuroLeague title, he gave a clear answer. “No. Who would do that? I want to win. I want all of it, to be honest. A team wins the trophy, it’s an amazing accomplishment, for sure, what I’m playing for,” he started.

“But when you go on the record books, and you see my name… It’s just me, by myself. Nothing else, nobody is gonna take that away from you. Somebody has to beat me to get me out of there. It’s hard to take that away from me. I’m not trading anything, but Imma get everything. Somehow, somewhen.”

AS Monaco’s superstar also commented on his team’s trajectory towards the biggest weekend of the year, scheduled to take place from May 23-25 in Abu Dhabi.

“You can’t complain when you go to the Final Four. We made it here, it was one of our goals. Moving forward, we have to figure out. We’re healthy at this point and we’re looking forward,” he said before touching on the importance of adding Daniel Theis to the team.

“It’s a big difference. You see it sometimes when he plays, he looks like one of the best bigs in Europe. Sometimes he needed adjustments getting back to Europe, having played in the NBA for a long time. But when he’s on top of his game and his body feels all right, he’s one of the best bigs in Europe.”
