Panathinaikos will be facing the Final Four challenge once again after being crowned champions in 2024 in Berlin, at Ergin Ataman’s first biggest event of the year with the Greek side.
Among other guys, Tibor Pleiss and Cedi Osman will also be part of the trip to Abu Dhabi this time, but with completely different backgrounds. The German center will be playing his fourth one after three with Anadolu Efes, while the Turkish forward will debut in such an event.
“My advice as an OG is just to play basketball and keep your routine. I remember my first time was in Vitoria in 2019. I didn’t know if I would be in this situation again. So I was excited. I was really focusing on enjoying every single moment,” Pleiss commented.
“I was watching the pregame show and everything because it was nice, it was new, it was exciting. And I figured out a couple of years later to just keep the routine. Let the fans enjoy the pregame show and let them enjoy everything that is around. Keep focusing on every single game on what you’re doing and what you’re best at and just play basketball,” he added too.
“It’s a bit different since it’s one game to walk to the title. You need to have two great games. There’s really a small margin of error that you can do, but in the end, we need to play the way we’ve been playing since the beginning of the year, just execute the game plan, and I think we’ll be fine,” Osman said.
