Anadolu Efes will be signing center George Papagiannis according to Sotiris Vetakis. Eurohoops can confirm the ongoing talks between the two sides.

Papagiannis, 27, will be moving to Efes from AS Monaco. He averaged 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds with the French side in the 2024-25 EuroLeague as the team made the championship game for the first time in club history.

In the decisive Game 5 of the playoffs vs. Barcelona, Papagiannis posted 17 points (3-3 triples) and five rebounds after being a DNP in the first four matches. He didn’t play at all in the Final Four semifinal win over Olympiacos Piraeus and the loss to his former team Fenerbahce Beko in the championship game.

Papagiannis had been rumored to be on the exit door of Monaco over the last couple of months along with veteran guard and Greek national team teammate Nick Calathes.

Efes will be the third EuroLeague club in Papagiannis’ career. The 2023 All-EuroLeague Second Team member had two stints with Panathinaikos Athens (2014-2016, 2018-2023) and played for Fener last season.
