Panathinaikos officially announced the contract extension until 2028 for Dimitris Moraitis, who previously already had an agreement with the team until 2026.
Later on the day, Iraklis BC announced that the player will be playing on loan with the team for the whole 2025-26 season.
Last season, he promised 3.4 points per game in the Greek Basket League, while he only had one appearance in the EuroLeague.
The 26-year-old guard has played his whole career in his native country, starting with Panionios in the 2014-15 season, joining AEK until 2021 with one season (2019-20) on loan to Kolossos Rhodes.
Ultimately, he spent two years from 2021 to 2023 with Peristeri prior to his move to OAKA.
He has collected titles with both Panathinaikos (2023-24 Greek Basket League and EuroLeague, 2024-25 Greek Cup) and AEK Athens (2017-18 Greek Cup and Basketball Champions League, 2019 FIBA Intercontinental Cup).
