Following Tyson Carter, who’s set to leave Unicaja to move to the red-and-white side of Belgrade, Crvena Zvezda will soon add another player who has recently spent time in the ACB.
It’s the case of Chima Moneke, who will leave Baskonia to sign with Ioannis Sfairopoulos’s team on a two-year deal, continuing to be one of the most prominent forwards in the whole EuroLeague.
The 29-year-old forward is set to receive 1.7M euros net per season. TeleSport first reported on Crvena Zvezda‘s interest in the player.

Moving to the EuroLeague for a short stint with AS Monaco in January 2023, the Nigerian forward then moved to Baskonia in the summer of the same year, staying with the team for two seasons.
In the 2024-25 season, he has averaged 14.0 points – shooting 64.5% on a two-point range and 81.3% at the free-throw line -, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
Previously, he also played in the NBA for the Sacramento Kings after being named MVP of the Basketball Champions League in the 2021-22 season.
