The annual NBA draft lottery took place in Chicago on Monday, delivering an intriguing and unexpected winner in the Dallas Mavericks.
From a 1.8% chance to secure the first pick, the Dallas Mavericks prevailed and are expected to move on to land top prospect Cooper Flagg on June 25, a few months after trading away Slovenian franchise superstar Luka Doncic.
The 2025 draft will be held in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center stretching from the first day and the selections of the first round to the second-round-picks on June 26. The list of eligible players, including several more early entrants, extends to promising European upstarts such as Nolan Traore and Noa Essengue.
