The Pacers are preparing for the possibility to miss Tyrese Haliburton in the upcoming game against the Thunder

Indiana Pacers star guard Tyrese Haliburton is not certain to play in the upcoming Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder Thursday (19/6).

As Pacers coach Rick Carisle said, Haliburton’s availability will be likely decided a bit before the game tips off. Indiana is down 2-3 vs. the Thunder and may go into this “win-or-go-home” clash minus its best player.

“He is going to be carefully evaluated over the next 36 hours and will likely be listed as questionable on the injury report and probably will be a game-time decision for Game 6,” Carlisle said while talking to Indianapolis radio station 107.5 The Fan.

“We have to prepare for two scenarios: one where he plays and one where he does not,” Carlisle added.

Haliburton strained his right calf late in the first period during the 109 – 120 away loss at Oklahoma. He’s already been coping with leg problems during the series.

Through the first five games of the 2025 NBA Finals, Haliburton is averaging 15.0 points, 7.2 assists and 6.2 rebounds. He drained the buzzer-beater for the win in Game 1.
