Fenerbahce Beko has won the Turkish championship after defeating Besiktas in the Finals.
Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team sealed the title with an 84–68 victory in Game 5, winning the series 4–1 and completing a remarkable treble, having already secured the Turkish Cup and the EuroLeague earlier in the season.
Fenerbahce took control from the opening tip, with Jasikevicius’ team setting the pace and playing with intensity from start to finish. Besiktas responded in typical fashion—fighting hard and leaving everything on the floor—but it wasn’t enough against a deeper and more talented Fenerbahce side.
The black-and-whites battled until the very end, trying to push the series further, but Fenerbahce closed it out in five matches.
Nigel Hayes-Davies led the way for the champions with 16 points, while Wade Baldwin contributed 13. Jonah Mathews was the top scorer for Besiktas with 19 points.
